We are seeking a Systems and Support Associate for our Demand and Supply Planning organization. This techno-functional role will require a hybrid of technical knowledge and business process capabilities that have a high degree of problem solving capabilities. To be considered for the Systems and Support Associate role will require some experience working with legacy systems and supporting processes.

The Systems and Support Associate role will need to be able to prioritize activities daily. They will understand our data and reporting for a subset of defined support areas (system, reports, etc.). They will work cross-functionally on solution quality issues (system tuning) as well as maintaining and executing daily reporting and analytics. They will play a supporting role in identifying improvement opportunities where appropriate. This person will assist on these opportunities by providing input on the need for change.

The Systems and Support Associate will have foundational technical and consultative skills, so they are looked at as problem solvers.

Position Description

Business support / Help tickets

  • Identify issues and resolve as needed through analysis and tuning as issues are escalated though the business systems help ticket system.

Analytics (Data mining and reporting)

  • Respond to customer reporting requests by pulling data and using blending. Identify the data requested and, in some cases, identify complimentary data and analysis if appropriate.
  • Anticipate reason for request and offer up approaches that help the requestor solve their problem.

Measurement and Continuous Improvement

  • Respond to help request with a sense of urgency and quality. Support opportunities that will drive efficiency and improvement of key True Value metrics.
  • Support system tuning and end user adoption as directed. This will require analysis of the request for help that are more consultative than transactional.

Change Management and Training

  • Assist with helping drive better user understanding of the systems, data and processes we support.
  • Deliver ad hoc training and identify gaps in user understanding.
  • Closely collaborate with the Trainer and Continuous improvement.

Technology Enablement

  • Assist with solution validation through testing and error trapping, root cause analysis, quality control, and IT collaboration/liaison.
  • Keep apprised of anything new being introduced to the system from a settings/business rule perspective as well as changes introduced in our batch nightly processing.
  • Monitor any upstream data changes that could influence solution quality.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:

  • 1-3 years of related experience in a consultative, operations, engineering, or computer science role
  • Experience in Supply Chain required, APICS certification preferable
  • Experience working in databases for reporting and data mining
  • Logistics, Supply Chain, Technology and/or Business Consulting, Technology or Wholesale experience preferable
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or Operations Management or equivalent work experience
