Job Description

The Social Media Manager will be charged with taking our national and community driven brand to the next level of engagement across all current and emerging social media platforms. This role is responsible for all strategy and execution of social media messaging to impact the perception of our brand and product, drive traffic and increase customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue. Our ideal candidate is a strategic, creative thinker that is fully immersed in the social media landscape, understands the various platform nuances and will work closely with the Brand & National Marketing Manager and Creative Team to continually churn out fresh, compelling content on a weekly/monthly/annual basis.

Position Description

  • Develop and manage the overall strategy and presence of True Value’s national pages on social media networks, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, as well as emerging platforms. Develop monthly editorial calendars and posting strategies. Work closely with Creative and Agency teams to ensure goals and objectives are met. Work hand in hand with Creative to consistently develop social content on a monthly basis. Develop workflow processes in coordination with the Creative team to ensure deadlines are being met on an ongoing basis
  • Draft, edit and publish social media content daily based on direction from the Brand & National Marketing Manager.
  • Provide targeting strategies, execution and analysis of paid advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting documents based on key social KPIs. Clearly articulate key learnings and insights based on social content performance, along with recommendations on how strategy should be adjusted based on tactics utilized.
  • Manage projects to ensure deliverables are reached on time and within budget.
  • Attend trainings, research and stay on top of new emerging social media trends; report findings/recommendations to the Brand & National Marketing Manager.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of related experience required
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)

Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
