Job Description

The Marketing Operations Specialist serves as the first point of contact, subject matter expert, troubleshooter and consultant to retailers and growth team on various consumer facing marketing programs that drive traffic into retailer/member’s stores and reinforce the equities of the True Value brand. Deliver customer service that is in-line with True Value’s core values.

Position Description

Administrative:
Support promotional strategies and product development by creating and maintaining the logistics that support True Value’s marketing programs including retailer grand openings.

Manage tactical projects in a manner to allow for timely and accurate completion. Onboard and maintain retailer/member participation in various marketing programs.

  • Serve as Webmaster for True Value and True Value Rental Retailer TruSites (websites).
  • Execute store cancellation process for True Value Rewards program to ensure consumer awareness – includes creation of consumer post card and mailing list.
Problem Resolution:
Troubleshoot, resolve and provide solutions to issues related to various marketing and promotional programs. Provide timely responses to both internal and external contacts. Generate ad-hock reporting using Business Objects that support various marketing programs.

Consultative & Sales:
Provide guidance to retailers/members on effective practices, cost reduction, using data from retail workbench, True Value Rewards, mailing profiles, research, best practices and personal knowledge.

Provide best practices and guidance to retailers launching True Value Rewards. Assess program goals using various data points to ensure retailers successfulness on the program.

Collaborate with Growth/Sales Team to provide marketing program overview to new stores and prospective stores.

Obtain retailer/member participation via cold calls, reunion attendance on various marketing programs.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience:

  • One to three years of related experience required
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and MMS - Marketing Management System
  • Advertising, Communication, Marketing, Retail, Sales and Wholesale experience required
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
