Job Description

Marketing Business Manager will work across the marketing organization to support identifying current/future technology and data needs, lead the evaluation of new opportunities and keep on top of trends. Takes ownership of exploring new and different opportunities for the organization that adds value (e.g., Home Advisor, chatbots, etc).  Analyze and follow trends in the industry to help prioritize investments and priorities. Work in a consultant capacity with both internal and external partners to achieve business objectives.  Facilitate the development of initiative high level requirements/needs, business case and proformas for specific campaigns, new marketing capabilities or enhancements.  Participate in cross functional IT committee to represent Marketing’s needs. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, aptitude for analyzing and understanding business impacts and the ability to focus on multiple tasks at the same time.

Position Description

Takes ownership of exploring new and different opportunities for the organization that add value. Analyze and follow trends in the industry to help prioritize investments and priorities. Work in a consultant capacity with both internal and external partners to achieve business objectives. Proactively investigate marketing innovation and facilitate among marketing team the assessment of its relevance to True Value (chat, voice search, AI, VR, etc.).

Lead developing the business needs and justification, document initiative business high level requirements, guide the development of test and control campaigns, new marketing capabilities or enhancements. Work across the marketing organization on requests and prioritization of IT enhancement requests, develop high level details of request. Represent marketing on the IT enhancement committee.

Develop and manage a process to track marketing’s solution and talent agreements, etc. for renewal, identify opportunities within our solution providers, agreements to enhance our usage of these solutions, eliminate them, combine them.

Investigate/lead the development of partnerships: e.g., homeadvisor, angies list, extensions for our mobile app – handy measuring, estimating features.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:

  • Seven to ten years of related experience required
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Marketing, Communications, Retail and Technology experience required
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Master's degree desirable
