Job Description

Act as a liaison between all True Value business units, Information Technology, and third party providers to capture application development enhancement demand and identify priorities and deliver system services and solutions to meet business objectives. Works with various functional areas to assure the capacity and capability is available to develop solutions. Project Managers develop and oversee scheduling, budget, and technical performance of programs and small to mid-size projects. Responsibilities may include proposal development, contract negotiation and contract compliance. Project managers ensure schedules are followed, developing solutions to program or project challenges, directing others for successful completion of project on time and on budget, and reporting to senior management progress, issues and risks. Individuals in this role must understand how to deliver projects in a structured manner and have great organizational, communication, financial, and relationship management skills.

Position Description

Manages a regular (usually monthly) forecasting process at both the detail and aggregated level. Ensures data integrity and quality by reviewing data, identifying unusual occurrences seeking explanations and assisting in developing corrections to prevent re-occurrences. Initially reviews and analyzes forecast results in relation to business direction across all of True Value businesses.

  • Provides Business Managers with observations of forecast directions
  • Reports on division or product family comparisons with budget established and maintains forecast performance measurement and evaluation. Co-ordinates with designated Business Managers to ensure the demand is captured and forecasting process is finalized. Develops ongoing prioritization of demand and effectively communicates any changes to priority and work schedules. Works with 3rd party development teams to complete projects using full SDLC life-cycle. Works with occasional ad-hoc or rush requests as set by the business

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:

  • More than 10 years of related experience required
  • Working experience with Mainframe, Windows, Java and .Net technology
  • Experience with managing small-mid size projects
  • Proficient in excel, powerpoint, solid grasp of analytics, metrics, data and statistics.
Major Financial Control Activities:
  • Responsible for managing an operational budget. Operational budget value under management = $1.2 million.
Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
