Job Description

True Value Company, one of the world's largest member-owned hardware cooperatives with more than 4,000 independent retailers, is looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent who is interested in working in an environment that encourages quality, decision making, & team work. In this role you will support the True Value Manufacturing paint factory in Cary, IL. 

Ability to work with 110,240,277,480 and D.C. control voltages. Installs and maintains electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Starting Pay is $25/hr; however, compensation commensurate with experience, with the max being at $31/hr.

Position Description

Following all State and Local codes:
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for machinery and equipment such as conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables and components.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
• Replaces electric motor bearings and connects motors.
• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Design PLC programs for machines.
• Diagnoses and make repairs in PLC programs.
• Trouble shoots relay logic with holding circuits, latching relays and start up circuits.
• Follows all SAFETY practices for LOCK-OUT / TAG-OUT.
• Knowledge of Arc Flash and adheres to all policies.
• Perform necessary record keeping, including use of computer based maintenance tracking/preventive maintenance programs such as EAM
• Knowledge of CCT including digital recording systems.
• Coordinate and communicate with outside contractors and suppliers. 
• Performs other duties as required.

Position Qualifications

Must be a current licensed electrician
* Five Years related experience
• Preventive Maintenance experience
* Maintenance experience in a chemical batch manufacturing environment a plus.
• Must have ability to read and troubleshoot, analyze and design write electrical schematics
• Must have ability to work in a team environment and perform cross functional duties.
• Must have good attention to detail 
• Must have math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Must have ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to bend, climb, and lift up to 75 lbs. 
* Training in Arc Flash.
Must be proficient with computer programs including Maintenance Tracking programs. Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and email.
