The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst's main responsibility is to manage the S&OP process steps across the company. The focus of the role is to ensure demand and supply is balanced. This person will work with other functions such as Marketing, Growth, Merchandising, Inventory, and Finance, to reconcile top-down financial plans with the bottom-up operational plans. This role is also responsible for preparing and facilitating the S&OP meetings by creating and analyzing multiple scenarios for planning reconciliation. The Sr Analyst, S&OP will provide analysis and data to all levels of the organization.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance):

  • Develop and present insightful analysis utilizing business analytics and data to develop points of view, identify opportunities, and to make recommendations to all levels of the organization.
  • Provides data and analysis to all levels of the organization using reporting, dashboards, charts and visuals and is able to tailor the message and information based on the audience (all levels of the organization).
  • Performs root cause analysis on a regular basis based on business results vs forecasts & projections and shares findings with all levels of the organization. Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics.
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Align Financial (top down) and Replenishment (bottom up) demand plans or highlight gaps as part of S&OP process by enabling a system driven forecast and reconciliation and comparison of the top down (macro) forecast vs bottom up (micro) forecast.
  • Owns development of reporting as it relates to S&OP and all sub processes.
  • Acts as the liaison between Business Systems and / or IT to standardize and automate reporting.
  • Drafts and maintains SOP documents and policies as needed.
  • Leads supporting technology selections, improvements, and implementations.
  • Drafts and maintains SOP documents, policies, training guides, and other tools as it relates to process.
  • Lead cross functional design meetings as it relates to business processes and sub processes.
  • Educate and Champion – The lead will be the chief champion, working with the business to demonstrate the logic behind and value of adopting S&OP.
  • This role will focus on defining the compliance and continuous improvement requirements to ensure the continued adoption and success of the process and lead training efforts as it relates to S&OP.
  • Manages relationships cross functionally with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Influences leaders across the organization to resolve issues. 
  • Assists Director in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Special projects as needed.

Position Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • Five to seven years of related experience required
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau and Teredata
  • Understanding of operational data stores, metadata and business rules, SQL, business math
  • Inventory planning/replenishment systems
  • Supply Chain, Retail, Wholesale, Technology experience desirable
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management or equivalent work experience
