True Value Company, a global wholesaler serving retail locations in 60 countries, has an immediate need for an Executive Administrative Assistant.

You will provide administrative support to Human Resources including VP, DVP and Directors and departmental staff members, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Keep executive on track of meetings and tasks and follow-up on actionable items. Proactively anticipate executive needs (e.g. planning for staff meetings). Provide comprehensive administrative support with teamwork and collaboration skills while maintaining confidentiality to a senior executive and department staff to facilitate achievement of departmental operating objectives. Maintain schedules and records for executives and ensure that the general operations of the department are orchestrated in a smooth manner. 

This position plays an active role working closely with the HR team to provide a best-in-class experience to associates and candidates. This role owns and executes HR projects and processes.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance):

  • Provides overall administrative support to SVP HR, and HR leadership team including but not limited to meeting arrangements, managing calendars, travel, and general administrative requests.
  • Provides support for HR organization meetings, townhalls, monthly celebrations and events including content creation, PowerPoint presentations, agenda, speakers as well as facilitating the events overall.
  • Provides timely processing of all departmental invoicing, tracking expenses within budgets, providing monthly analysis to HR leadership on budget spend.
  • Supports the recruiting team including interviewing, scheduling, logistics, travel, agenda creation, day-to-day support, troubleshooting and creating reports, dashboards, and evaluation summaries.
  • Administers Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Ensures data integrity, proper documentation, and reporting.
  • Supports the onboarding process, including coordinating with new hires and internal departments (e.g., IT) to ensure a successful employee experience. 
  • Support HR projects as needed including using analytical skills, presentation building and project management skills.

Position Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or HR Coordinator or similar role, with working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Highly proficient utilizing all Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever changing environment with deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Skilled at managing multiple demands from multiple individuals
  • Project management skills a must; previous experience with either using Excel or Microsoft project
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or equivalent work experience
