True Value Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of paints, aerosols and paint applicators located in Cary, IL is looking for a Quality Control Technicians to join our growing team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Technician - will support the activities of the manufacturing department. Candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting raw materials and products at various stages of production as necessary, as well as performing any additional testing required by TVM or GPM customers.

Scheduled Days:        Monday through Friday 

Scheduled Hours:       2:30pm to 11pm 

Starting Pay Range:   $19.00 to $21.00 per hour  plus $1.00 shift differential

Position Description

  • Perform testing, visual inspection and support the activities of the manufacturing department to assure full compliance with all established SOP’s.
  • Perform tests and verification as necessary, of incoming raw materials for use in production.
  • Perform first piece and in process testing and visual inspection as required during the manufacturing of the products.
  • Assists in the resolution of quality problems related to manufacturing, raw materials, coding and packaging.
  • Creates, documents and maintains accurate records of all QC processes and test results of manufactured products.
  • Investigation of customer complaints or concerns if necessary.
  • Interaction with other departments as needed (Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Support, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Perform special testing or complete any specific projects that may be required.

Position Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years previous Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience using measurement devices is desired.
  • Must be able to work with paint and coatings, chemical products, and applicators.
  • Experience with Word, Excel and Power Point preferred.
  • Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment with good prioritization and time management skills.
  • Problem solving and assisting manufacturing with raw material and packaging issues.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment but also independently as needed.
  • Good attention to detail with strong bench-marking and record keeping skills.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Educational Requirements:

           High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
