The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for all administrative functions of the department, including ongoing support of the growing GPM customer required administrative paperwork.

Scheduled Days:  Monday through Friday

Scheduled Hours: 9am to 3pm

Starting Rate:        $18.00 - $22.00 per hour ** based on skills and qualifications

Position Description

1. CUSTOMER INBOUND MATERIAL MAINTENENCE: Issuing of internal purchase orders for all inbound material scheduled by Customers. Maintaining open order excel spreadsheets, scheduling delivery appointments, forwarding necessary paperwork to appropriate receiving departments.

2. RECEIPT TRACKING: Gather receiving documents daily for all customer supplied material and update open order excel spreadsheet. Forward all copies of all documents to appropriate customers. Expedite any orders that did not deliver and update system, spreadsheet and plant with new ETA.

3. CYCLE COUNTS: Maintain spreadsheets daily on cycle counts turned in from the plant. Enter adjustments in 4th shift. Verify entries next day and maintain paperwork needed for month end reporting.

4. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: Crosstrain to assist when needed in completion of daily department administrative responsibilities of other associates. (Example: verifying order acknowledgements, scanning, entering of expense PO's, receivers for expense PO's.) Ordering and distribution of office supplies.

5. Potential for further cross training of buyer functions to assist during PTOs.

6. Manage relationships with vendors, customers & third-party suppliers of externally purchased or supplied goods/ materials, and freight carriers.

Position Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

• 1-3 years of experience required, preferably in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Oracle).

• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory planning, $500,000 per month or more.
