True Value Company, one of the world's largest hardlines wholesalers with more than 4,400 independent retailers in over 60 countries, is looking for an experienced Office Manager who is interested in working in an environment that encourages quality, decision making & team work. In this role you will lead a clerical support team for our high-volume, multi-shift, Regional Distribution Center in Wilkes Barre, PA

The Office Manager will manage overall office procedures and supervise office personnel. Maintain a safe work environment. Train and support policy and procedure compliance within the Wilkes Barre RDC Office. Directly manage Customer Service, Data Processing, safety records, Payroll/Time and Attendance, record keeping, and asset protection by supporting clerical procedures on a daily basis.

Position Description

  • Manages workflow within the office to support warehouse workload and performance.
  • Supervises, supports, and reviews associate performance in the department.
  • Works closely with facility management staff and associates to ensure quality, accuracy, and completion of daily tasks & projects on time.
  • Works directly with associates to establish and foster an atmosphere of high associate morale through an active, fair and consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Is actively involved in associate training and cross-training.
  • Follow-up on Customer/Retailer and corporate communications to answer questions or concerns they may have.
  • Fosters an environment of cooperation and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Work swith vendors to provide needed services and office supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in budgetary and financial controls.
  • A minimum of 2 years prior office, distribution, warehouse, or logistics experience.
  • Proven leadership in comparable environment with focus on business acumen, team-building, and strategic alignment with corporate goals.
  • Ability to learn new systems, inventory controls, and WMS administration.
  • PC Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office Programs and Windows Programs (Access a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
