Job Description

The role of the Manager, Infrastructure Operations is to ensure that value is achieved as anticipated from the outsourced relationships under management at True Value, covering services across all infrastructure technical towers and locations for all True Value Infrastructure IT Services. This is a leadership role, to unify, harmonize and establish a strong working relationship between the True Value IT organization and our outsourced partners providing infrastructure services.

Position Description

  • Lead IT infrastructure service operations organization across all True Value areas. This includes managing the IT infrastructure services that are both outsourced and in-sourced and ensuring that these services are meeting the needs of both the business and business applications.
  • Balance the needs and requirements to support the overall goals of the enterprise, through a process of harmonization and repeat-ability of service delivery, leading to unification
  • Develop frameworks to enable providers to work cohesively with the True Value IT teams.
  • Develop and execute a service delivery transformation vision for long term benefits to the organization
  • Develop and influence the Service Delivery Managers (Third party vendors) to promote proactive actions and frameworks
  • Coordinate infrastructure operations activities between all IT departments while intently focusing on the business needs

Position Qualifications

Minimum Type and Years of Related Experience Required:

  • Minimum seven + years of related experience required
  • Strong Technical background
  • Balanced level of understanding and working across all IT Infrastructure Technologies.
  • Experience in a management role of technical teams involving both functional and matrix resources.
  • Experience managing and working with outsourced infrastructure services
  • Proven ability to manage, lead and motivate geographically dispersed technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and direct both operational and project-focused resources.
  • Able to function in complex and challenging managed service environments while maintaining the ability to influence change and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions and understandings.
  • Demonstrates superior communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technology topics within all levels of the IT department.
  • Experience in producing technical reports, analysis and statistical reports using desktop publishing software and IT tools related to this position.
  • ITIL Certification preferred Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
