This position is responsible for developing, evaluating and implementing information systems security across the enterprise under the direction of the Sr. IT Security Manager. The primary responsibilities include requirements development, design, implementation and administration of enterprise class authentication/authorization technologies, cryptographic and security logging solutions. Requires technical expertise in systems and application administration and security tools, combined with the knowledge of security practices and procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures. Creates and enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls. Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for systems security related issues. Educates users on systems security standards and procedures.

Position Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance):

  • Design, implement and refine security monitoring applications and processes, as well as security testing methodologies.
  • Facilitate and support development and implementation of application specific security management, monitoring and tools. Provide guidance and participate in projects as a security Subject Matter Expert.
  • Provide guidance to and interpret results from security compliance and monitoring systems for other managers, auditors and executives.
  • Prepare and publish timely, statistical reporting data and metrics for management review.
  • Standards and procedures development.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a Security Policy and IT Security Strategic Plan.

Position Qualifications

Work Experience:

  • Seven to ten years of related work experience
  • Five to seven years in IT Security with experience in IT security software and hardware technologies; specific experience around securing web-based applications preferred
  • Certified Quality Analyst preferred
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
