Position Description
Job Duties (In order of importance)
Provide support as an Industrial Engineer to Atlanta Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and maintain engineered labor standards including the ability to conduct time studies and determine production benchmarks by collaborating with each RDCs' leadership team to achieve the operating metrics and target goals.
Establish unified Engineering Labor Standards (ELS) for select distribution center functional areas across locations in the logistics network. Analyze time studies to evaluate the sequence of operations, motion, methods, workflow and ergonomics to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Retrieve and research data from various sources (WMS, Labor Management, etc.) and translate that data into meaningful information to support action plans.
Participate in all major Capital Projects for reconfiguration and CAD (blueprint) layout updates of the RDCs.
Manage slotting programs to support RDC projects and initiatives to maintain optimal productivity levels.
Develop, maintain, and publish KPIs and other reporting on a regular basis. Develop dashboards that can be visually and analytically leveraged by True Value to quickly compare all current and historical distribution trends to streamline internal operations and provide near real-time analytical capabilities to evaluate current and future outcomes.
Design custom reports in SQL, perform integrations with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and setup Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Develop data summaries, heat maps, info graphics and market analysis visuals that help facilitate recommendations using data-driven approaches and applied strategies.
Participate in cross-functional team projects and initiatives and interface with all levels, and support key projects and initiatives across all phases of implementation including solution design, financial analysis, business case development, project planning, milestone definition, stakeholder communication, and implementation.
Implement DMAIC (Design, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control) processes and utilize information captured in the WMS-based labor tracking system for assigned Distribution locations.
* This position will support our Atlanta Regional Distribution Centers and the incumbent can live in Atlanta, Marietta or the surrounding area.
