True Value Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of architectural paints, aerosols, solvents & paint applicators has an immediate opening for a Customer Support Representatve in our Cary, IL manufacturing facility.

The Customer Support Representative is responsible for providing domestic and international customer support to our membership with respect to product, programs and consumer events for all manufactured and distributed paint items offered by True Value Company. Through a focused call center, this position will engage in handling service calls, resolving technical issues and telephone inquiries of customers to support members, vendors, consumers and third party business. The Customer Support Representative will also make outbound calls in regard to paint specials, conversions and service as needed. Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is desirable.

Note:  Must be able to work flexible hours 7:30am to 5pm (Monday through Friday)
              and one Saturday per month from 9am to 2pm

Position Description

• Responds to member calls regarding price, delivery, technical assistance and coordinating shipments of orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Researches and recommends products for specific substrates as requested by members and consumers.

• Performs aggressively and enthusiastically on inside sales, as well as third party business, which will include outbound calls to ensure strategic initiatives and marketing strategies are met.

• Works closely with the Paint Consultants in all aspects of Customer Support.

• Be able to enter, change and correct orders into TTOE and 4th Shift order entry systems.

• Releases orders to shipping to ensure prompt, timely deliveries to members and third party business.

• Traces shipments and expedite through proper channels.

• Maintains reference material including TVM product catalogs, pricing and current programs to adequately and promptly answer members and Paint Consultants questions.

• Cooperates and coordinates with other departments of the company to develop and implement programs that will assist TVM to be efficient and successful.

• Performs duties such as correspondence, reports, and operate office equipment. • Promote a teamwork attitude within the department and with other departments of the company.

• Knows and follows company policies and procedures.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Position Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer support in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of paint and chemicals desirable.

• Computer skills with Microsoft Office. Must be a proficient user of Excel.

• Fluent in English and Spanish with good oral and written communication skills in both languages is desirable.

• Analysis skills to identify problem areas and formulate recommendations to solve problems.

• Ability to manage multiple time sensitive situations.

• Ability to work with all levels of management in resolving member issues.
