True Value Company, one of the world's largest hardlines wholesalers with more than 4,400 independent retailers in over 60 countries, is looking for Clerk - Team Lead for our 2nd shift at our Wilkes-Barre Distribution Center.


Scheduled Days:   Sunday through Thursday

Scheduled Hours:  4pm to 12:30am

Qualaified candidate must be able to train and learn multiple functions (Receiving, Shipping and Data Processing).  Must be able to learn when and how to escalate issues that arise during the shift.  Comfortable and capable of resolving issues through out the shift in the Supervisor's absence.  When necessary working overtime to cover areas due to call offs or working to resolve issues that arise during the shift.

Position Description

• Leads the work activities of team members to manage workflow within the department.

• Assists the Manager in coordinating workflow with other members of the leadership team.

• Assists the Manager in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work completion to maintain a high level of Member service.

• Works directly with associates to establish and foster a strong working relationship related to facility and departmental functions.

• Clarifies operating policies, procedures, and safety requirements to team members.

• Actively involved in employee training and cross-training and defining job requirements.

• Fosters an atmosphere of high employee morale through an active, fair, and consistent implementation of policy and procedures.

• Performs job duties in accordance with the Company’s production and quality standards.

• Supervises team members in the Supervisor’s absence.

• Act as the office manager in the absence of the office manger.

Position Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with associates, vendors, and/or retailers

• Good Decision making and problem solving skills in accordance with operating policies and practices

• Computer skills: keyboarding skills, ability to learn company specific computer systems
